More details on Hours & Admission

Tour the historic, haunted Whaley House at your own pace with our evening self-guided tour. The Whaley House is...different at night. Come soak up the after-dark ambience while learning the details of this home of a prominent pioneer family of San Diego and its various uses. Our friendly, knowledgeable docents are available for questions and to provide the more-than-a-century-old folklore surrounding the haunted history of the home. With most of San Diego's earliest buildings long gone, the ability of the Whaley House to illustrate how San Diegans lived in the 19th century, as well as being a tangible piece of early San Diego history, makes it one of the most interesting, important, and historically valuable structures in the city.
